74% less stress
50% higher productivity
29% more satisfaction with their lives

Our focus is Transformation

In a People function there are generally two main themes:

Transactional: Polices, procedures, employment law, payroll, strategy based on upgrading transactional areas, etc

Transformational: Compelling people strategy, dynamic employee engagement, a vibrant culture and employees feeling trusted, valued and supported.

The first theme is based on extrinsic motivation. Pay, conditions etc. This is not our strength.

We passionately believe that Transformational People Management is where the gold is. Wellbeing and performance can be dramatically and consistently improved here.

Typical Deliverables

Consult: Meet with key stakeholders to understand needs

Listen: Review a recent engagement survey as well as immediate coaching with Leaders, some Managers and team members to understand some of the problems and seek meaningful solutions on an individual basis. Here the business can get some good quantitative and qualitative data.

The Trust Triangle: Implement full training for all Managers of people. Followed up by team and individual coaching.

Research (May 2020) by Willis Towers Watson based on input from 75+ employers from companies across the UK, found (key takeaway):

‘Emotional intelligence is the most critical skill managers need to be equipped with right now. Employers know they need to do more to equip managers.’

Listen more: Dive into the engagement results with team members in workshops to understand more deeply. This also shows employees we’re really listening to them. Getting to Yes (book) ‘When others feel heard by you, they’re more likely to listen to you.’

Respond: Agree on expectations to improve employee engagement. This may include: Autonomy: More flexible working practices built on trust - Mastery: better L&D provision, a progression (competency) framework, workshops around feedback - Purpose: More community spirit around purpose. Clearer strategic narrative and more celebrating of success.

Transparent Delivery: Execute on agreed expectations using SMART goals. We create a Trello board that key stakeholders have full access to so they can monitor our progress and understand the workflow.

Review: In six months, carry out another pulse check, based on the same questions to judge effectiveness.
